How to install and configure AltPhone?
One of the best things about AltPhone – the unparallel simplicity of the installation
and configuration process. Just download the AltPhone from Apple AppStore, launch
the application and enter your mobile phone number - and you are done! AltPhone
will automatically configure your account and even put some funds to let you try
the service. Remember to have you data connection - WiFi (preferred) or 3G - active
during the installation and configuration process.
Important: With AltPhone, all the numbers including your own phone number
should be in the international format starting with the country code. For example:
- USA/Canada number looks like: 14163426133
- Germany: 49694015909701
- China: 861084181717

How to make a call?
After one-click configuration is completed you will see a dial pad:
Just enter the phone number where you want to call (again, in the international
format!) and press the green "Call" button. You will see a pop-up screen that provides
you several choices:
- Callback – if you select this method you can leverage your free incoming
call plan and get huge savings on the long distance, as well as on the local calls.
AltPhone will accept your call request and shortly after will call you back and
connect to your destination. You can now talk and save money.
- Call-In – with this method you can leverage your “my favourites 5”, or similar,
mobile plan or just save on your long distance calls. Altphone will call your destination
by first dialing one of our globally available access numbers and than call your
destination. Make sure that you configure your access Call-In number as it is explained
later.
- Cell – just regular mobile call (You can still use when the regular call
is free, like in family plans, or with free evenings/weekends)
- VOIP – use your data connection (WiFi or 3G) and get enormous savings on
your long distance and local calls. (By default VOIP call over 3G is disabled but
you can always open this feature at your Account->Settings tab).

How to make your call even faster?
You may decide to always use a specific calling mode, without selecting it for each
call. You can do it. Just go to the Account -> Settings and disable the “Interactive
mode”. Altphone will use the “Default Call mode” you selected:

How to select your local call-in number?
If you want to take advantage of free calling to a selected number, night time or
weekends, you may use the Call-In mode and should correctly select your call-in
number. Go to Account -> Settings and select a “Current access number” from the
list:
Tip: Don't forget to set this access number as your "favourite number" with
your mobile service provider.

How to enable VOIP call over 3G?
Often, you don't use all data traffic that we pay for to your carrier. Make your
unused bandwidth work - enable VOIP over 3G. Just go to the Account -> Settings
and enable the “VOIP over 3G”:

How to send sms?
If you need to send an international sms and you don't have a special plan, you
will pay a fortune to your mobile operator. Not anymore. Open SMS tab and type (or
select from your address book) your destination number and your message:
You can even send your message to multiple destinations at once.

How to add funds to my account?
You have tried the AltPhone and you like it. You can always add funds to your account
without leaving AltPhone. Go to the Account->Balance->Add funds, enter your credit
card information and make a payment. You funds will be available for calling right
away:

How can I get my free INUM number?
To get your free INUM number send SMS from AltPnone with word inum
to any number, for example 1000. You will get SMS back with your INUM number.
INum numbers can be reach through one of
ComfyTel access numbers or one of
INum access numbers
Note: you account will be billed for this call based on calling rate of cellular
phone number, to minimize the cost you can switch your call to VOIP as described
below

Can switch my call from cellular to VOIP while I am in call?
Yes, you can switch from cellular call that reach your through INUM or placed using
AltPhone to VOIP in two simple steps:
1)press *4 while you are connected in cellular call, cell call will be dropped and
your peer will be connected to music;
2)Make VOIP from AltPhone to 0005 and you will continue talking using VOIP
